PRESS RELEASE

2nd Annual National SteelDay Event
Hosted in Grand Rapids, Michigan

On September 24th, Industry, Education, and Technology converge in Michigan

Grand Rapids, Michigan, August 31, 2010 – Architects, engineers, contractors, students, and any other interested party will have the opportunity to visit and interact with Radley Corporation in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as they host a SteelDay 2010 event on September 24th. SteelDay 2010, organized by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), is the second annual national event dedicated to providing accessibility to the latest happenings in the structural steel industry. SteelDay events such as facility tours, educational seminars, and jobsite visits are scheduled across the U.S. to showcase how the structural steel industry contributes to build America. Last year’s SteelDay events were held at more than 170 different locations all over the country and more than nine out of 10 hosts said they planned to participate again in 2010.

“SteelDay gives you an appreciation for what goes into your design – and [the steel industry’s] efforts to recycle and be environmentally friendly”, commented Rick Miles, P.E., a SteelDay 2009 attendee and senior engineer at Sparks Engineering, Inc, in Round Rock, Texas.

Radley Corporation will be hosting a two-hour educational session with an opportunity for hands-on interaction with the latest in automated data collection technology available for the Steel Industry today. During the session attendees will learn about how the latest data collection technology is being used in the Steel Industry to boost worker productivity and increase profitability. The event will be held at Radley Corporation’s Grand Rapids office and is free of charge. The first scheduled two-hour session begins at 9: 00 AM. Session size is limited so early registration is recommended.

As concerns over the economy linger, building professionals want to reduce their risk and control their costs more than ever. Increasingly they also need to be sensitive to the environmental impacts of their projects. This event will show that building with structural steel is a very effective strategy toward meeting these goals and ensures a successful project is delivered on time and on budget. More information on SteelDay 2010 can be found at www.SteelDay.org. Details on registration and what this year’s events have to offer will continually be updated on the site. For questions please contact Chris Moor at moor@aisc.org, 813.472.9264.

Radley Corporation announces new
SMB Inventory Managment Solution

Grand Rapids, Michigan, November 15, 2009 — Radley Corporation announced today the release of Radley Inventory Management, the latest addition to their WorkForce Productivity Solution Suite. Radley Inventory Management enables small- to medium-sized businesses to gain productivity advantages through Inventory Management functionality that was previously primarily obtainable by large manufacturers and distribution centers with complex and expensive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or customized enterprise inventory management software packages. Radley Inventory Management includes the ability to track partially-used materials (drops/remnants) and supplies, manage expiration dates, issues, receipts, cycle counts, ad hoc counts, scrap, physical attributes, quality data, and provides access to time-stamped historical data for reports and inquiries.

A flexible “characteristic definition” structure and simple user interface when combined with the ability to track and trace user-defined attributes offers innovative interoperability through integration and levels the playing field for small to mid-sized businesses.  "Up until now, the complexity and costs involved with moving to an automated system of inventory management, have kept most small and medium businesses locked into using their manual (spreadsheet/clipboard) inventory tracking systems, or forced them into low-cost solutions that may not meet their long-term needs,” noted David Barks, Vice President of Radley Corporation. “Manual systems can be a real barrier to successfully competing with larger more sophisticated global entities, especially in the current economic environment," he said.

Radley Data Collection and Bar Coding for IFS -  Watch Now

This webcast provides an overview and demonstration of Radley for use with IFS Applications for Data Collection and Bar-coding.

In May's edition of the IFS Radio Network, Radley Corporation Vice President David Barks points out the pitfalls of stand-alone Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) technology. He suggests that manufacturers should instead consider extending their existing enterprise software into the warehouse. One of these pitfalls is the fact that even after integrating WMS and an enterprise application like ERP, a manufacturer still winds up running two separate inventory systems.
