Client Design Tool

The Radley Client Design Tool (CDT) is integrated within Visual Basic, allowing you to create a data collection application simply and quickly. It is provided as an "Add In" to the Microsoft Visual Basic development environment. The tool utilizes the powerful development environment of Visual Basic for the user interface and then the program is compiled to .NET. Custom controls designed specifically for automatic data collection are also added, in addition to Visual Basic supplied controls.

CDT also has the feature of Radley-provided “Smart” code. The “Smart” code is pre-build logic that could be accessed by a simple drag and drop windows operation. This logic deals with special events like math, compare, file, messages, commands, etc. The figure below will display the CDT.

After writing the client program, the user will have the ability to compile this program to any of the following four output devices.

• .NET framework for Windows NT/2000
• .NET compact framework for CE or Pocket PC
• Smart Device Extension for Web Enabled Phones
• ‘C’ code character UI for Dos/Telnet
