IntelliLabel™
Label License Plating
Radley IntelliLabel is an optional feature with multiple benefits
to shop floor and warehouse environments. IntelliLabel, is a unique
license plate or serial number system with a database associated.
It’s the IntelliLabel’s serial number that uniquely identifies
a container and its contents.
An IntelliLabel is created for an item or a container of multiple
items at any point where the functionality is useful (Receiving,
WIP, Finished Goods or Shipping). When the IntelliLabel is associated
with specific inventory, the part number and it’s attributes are
assigned to that IntelliLabel database (quantity, lot, serial,
date, etc.). The initial benefit to users of the IntelliLabel functionality
is the reduction in scans necessary to conduct transactions on
that item.
A single scan of that IntelliLabel can populate all of the items associated
detail into transactions, again the item number, quantity, lot, serial, etc. A
single scan can be used to perform a backflush, move inventory throughout the
warehouse, as well as verify containers on a shipment. This increases productivity
and minimizes the opportunity for entry errors.
IntelliLabel can also be used as a pallet building utility. Parent-child
IntelliLabel relationships can be created to associate case IntelliLabels
with a master pallet IntelliLabel. This way a single pallet label
can control the movement, usage and statuses of many individual
items within a facility. Statuses are also assigned to IntelliLabels
to allow or prevent certain types of operations from occurring.
Inactive, Active, WIP, Build and Ship are examples of IntelliLabel
statuses that can be effectively used to create error proof functionality.
This feature has the additional affect of providing a view of the
items current state as well as where it’s been.
The addition of this advanced Radley functionality can provide
users with many opportunities to create unique and productive processes
without customizing the core business application.
